Deaf awareness

Deaf Awareness Training is an essential step towards creating inclusive environments where Deaf and hard of hearing individuals can communicate, participate, and thrive. This training is ideal for individuals, organisations, and those with close connections to someone who is Deaf or hard of hearing.

About the Training

The Deaf Awareness Training is available as a 2-hour or 3-hour interactive session, delivered either in person or via Zoom. Both formats cover core topics aimed at improving communication and understanding, while the longer 3-hour session includes additional depth on Deaf culture and a brief introduction to British Sign Language (BSL). Training includes one or two short breaks, depending on the session length, to support focus and comfort.
